Today is October 22nd and my stitching group met just this past Thursday and we decided we wanted to start blogging about all out stitching!! Since a good portion of us work full time, we usually get together after work and spend about 3-4 hours stitching at each other's homes. This last week our members that could show up were:
Marie, just bidding her time until she can snowbird to Florida!!
Sue, one of our newest members and new to cross stitching.
Kathee, a lifelong stasher (a woman after my own heart!) and whose house we were graciously invited to this past week.
Sheila, brand new grandma to 2 babies (!!) and still finding the time to stitch!
Deb, who makes to stitch night through thick and thin. She may not always have the strength to stitch all night but manages to keep up with the rest of us!
And finally, me! Even though I had just returned from a 10 day stitching retreat in New Hampshire, I still the had the energy and drive to stitch the night away! Naturally, chocolate chip cookies that Kathee provided sure helped out!
Unfortunately, some members could not make it this past Thursday. We were missing Lesley, Irene and Judy. I certainly hope they can make it next week and we look forward to having another full house soon!
Patricia, you have done a wonderful job in starting us off! I love our stitching group. I am not sure, but I think it's been 12ish years since we started. I learned to stiched from my sisters-in-law in 1980 and never looked back! I have even been able to have a stitching room (needed it to get all my stash in one place!) now we are empty nesters!
