In the meantime, we have some more photos from the past couple of weeks to share:
This is Kathy, Marie's niece, and Deb stitching away and looking studious. Btw, we LOVE Deb's new color and cut!
Here, Sheila is explaining something to Irene about the cell phone at hand. I, of course, could easily make a crass joke about age differences in this time of technology but will resist at this point! Those who know me, would expect nothing less!!
This is Judy, Irene's sister, taking a well deserved break from stitching a baby sampler-from-hell she has been struggling with for the past few months. I think we all know what it's like to stitch something we didn't pick and Judy is not really enjoying her purgatorial sampler. Hang in there Judy!
This is Lesley and her labor of love that took her 2 years to birth. It is the skyline of NY and it took a bunch of metallics and almost 18 different blending filaments. Not to mention just about every square inch had to be meticulously back stitched. She is now looking forward to the billion dollar frame job and has the perfect spot above her sofa where it will reside with honor.
Kathy, Marie's niece, enjoys working on snowmen projects and is looking forward to Purity Springs as she doesn't get out to stitch night very often.
Judy, the quiet sister!
Irene, the evil one! (Love ya Irene!)
A proud piece for Marie. A lovely Halloween table topper that she had the ingenious idea of attaching clear iron-on vinyl to the back of. This allows her to use it at the dining room table and not have to worry about wear and tear or spills. Kudos on the fab idea!
Deb working on a lovely filigree Christmas pudding. Loving the new do!
Yes, we all had to suffer through the obligatory "smile even if you don't want to" moment of the night! This was at Marie's house and she sandwiches a couple of tables together to allow us all plenty of elbow room. Her husband Kenny is usually banished to the garage to tinker but every once in a while we let him watch TV as well!
| Having a good time!! |
We have SO much fun and I really look forward to Thursday nights! Now we are counting down til Camp, 4 days! Eating, stitching, sleeping (as little as possible) and repeat!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could join you looks like a lot of fun.
